Brentford Families - Farnham, Kenton & FrickerJulie Jakeway is a descendant and researcher of the Farnham, Kenton and Fricker families, who lived in Brentford in the 19th and 20th centuries. 1851 census entries for Kenton & Fricker1851 Census shows Edward Kenton aged 55, a bricklayer, born in borough of Southwark, living High Street, Brentford, with wife Mary, aged 54, and daughter Mary Ann aged 11. HO 107/1699 1851 Census shows William Fricker living High Street, Brentford, occupation Butterman and Poulterer, with wife Rozetta (sic) (Rosetta nee Kenton) aged 27, children Lucy aged 6, Sarah aged 5, William aged 2, and Caroline aged 7 months. Also a servant Frances Nokes aged 15. All born Brentford. HO 107/1699 Will of Edward Kenton, 1867Index to Wills (FRC) gives Edward aged 71 of Brentford 3a52 died 17 Feb 1867 of Old Brentford proved 27 April by Mary Ann Kenton widow and William Fricker of Old Brentford, Egg merchant, both executors. Effects under £100."This is the last Will and Testament And from and after her decease I give and devise all that my freehold house situate in the Half Acre Old Brentford aforesaid now in the occupation of John Durer unto my daughter Mary Ann Green the wife of John Green her heirs and assigns absolutely. And from and after the decease of my said dear wife I give and devise all that my copyhold house situate in Drum Lane aforesaid called the Bricklayers Arms with the cottage or tenament thereunto adjoining and which are now on lease to Messrs Sich Brewers unto my son Edward Kenton his heirs and assigns absolutely. And from and after the decease of my said dear wife I give and devise all those two copyhold houses situate in Brookshot Road Old Brentford aforesaid and now in the respective occupations of Drewett and ??? unto my daughter Rosetta the wife of William Fricker her heirs and assigns absolutely and as to all the rest residue and remainder of my said Estate and Effects after the decease of my said dear wife I give devise and bequeath the same unto my said three children share and share alike as tenants in common. And I declare that any female taking an interest under this my Will shall be entitled to the same for her sole and separate use independent of any husband. And I nominate constitute and appoint my said wife and the said William Fricker to be Executrix and Executor of this my Will. And I declare this to be my last Will and Testament. Edward Albert Fricker (a son?) lived at no. 241 according to a trade directory from 1890.
