232 - 234 High Street around 1966

Diane Lockie has provided these photos taken by her father around 1966.
View across quiet, sunny road This view looking eastwards across to St Paul's Road off to the left was taken from the south side of High Street.

The former Feathers PH occupied the near corner at 232, the Eat Well cafe on the opposite corner at 233.

View of corner property and side road leading to church No. 233 was a cafe until its closure, formerly 'coffee rooms'. Next door at 234 was variously a leather seller, dental surgery, drapers, musical instrument sellers.

More about the history of this area.
