Mystery Carnival

Can you help identify the location of the photo below, which Anke has sent from Munich?

It does not look like Brentford - too much space! Anke adds:

Some clues I can see:

  • Tramlines
  • 2-storey properties with bay windows on the first floor
  • Shire horses with horse-leaders wearing white coats (was this common at that time? The 1920s supposedly?)

The photo is a bit fuzzy but the word 'WESTERN' is visible, possibly 'SEABOARD' underneath; to the left a word with 'EE'.
