Rothschild Girls' School, 1922 Entertainment: The Magic Key

Roger Davis provided a photo showing the cast of 'The Magic Key', which was performed at the Baths Hall, Brentford on Friday December 15 and Saturday December 16. The programme (included at the end) cost 2d.

Roger adds 'Gladys OVERELL (far right with tambourine) married my uncle, James HARRISON, and Nora ABIGAIL is the older sister of Gwen whose party was in Kew Bridge Road around 1917.

Cast of nearly 50 costumed girl performers on stage

The photo shows nearly 50 cast members, including the peasants, bandoleros, gypsies, toreadors, gnomes and fairies referred to in the programme.

Please get in touch if you can identify any of the performers. Search for 'Rothschild' on the Home page to find other references to this school.
