Brentford Dynasties

This section is dedicated to the larger or more prominent Brentford families where a lot of material is available eg photos, family trees, copies of original documents. Whilst researching the High Street history certain surnames recurred throughout the 1840 to 1940 period. Often these families intermarried with other High Street families and the term 'dynasty' occurred to me. I will be adding other families in the near future (including one or two of my own!).

• Buck family: barge owners originally from Hertfordshire who lived at numbers 171 and 172
• Montgomrey family who ran a timberyard and wharf throughout the C19 and well into C20
• Neville family who lived at numbers 165 and 264
• Ronalds family seedsmen who lived at numbers 137 and 138
• Taylor family bakers who lived at numbers 249 and 237
