Not Brentford

Brentford Redevelopment, July 2022

The south side of New Brentford is being redeveloped by Ballymore and Janet McNamara is keeping a photographic record and also sends Ballymore's newsletter, see below.

This photo was taken July 2022 looking west from Goddard's shop. It is a similar view to her photo from May 2022 but with five storeys compared to two. The small area of grass in the foreground has dried up since May: very little rain, lots of sun and record temperatures.

Extracts from Ballymore's newsletter, July 2022

Thanks to Janet for sending the newsletter, which runs through progress during May to July 2022:

Hollandbury House (Brunel, Block K)
We reached some significant milestones at Hollandbury House this month, completing facade works to the West and East towers and we are now turning our attention to installing the last of the balconies.

We continued work on the fit-out and internal services installation in both the East and West towers, and the Central core, and our team started work on the East tower Ground floor curtain wall installation.

Finally, we started landscaping works along the South elevation which will complete this month.

Calville House (Oak, Block B)
At Calville House, for the first time, you will now see the building's facade as our team completed brickwork on West block, paving the way for the installation of balconies.

Brickwork was completed up to Level 6 on B East, while internal fit-out and internal services installation continued. Roof finishes were installed on both sides of Block B.

Hugh House (Alder, Block A)
Substructure works to Hugh House are ongoing and the tower crane is now in place.

Lewis House (Willow, Block C)
Brickwork and window installations were completed at Lewis House West Block this month, while our team continued the scaffolding to East Block - this will complete this month.

Janet's first August 2021 photo, October 2021 photo and May 2022 photo are from the same position.

If you have been wondering where Calville, Hugh and Lewis come from, see the London Borough of Hounslow's document that covers just that.
