Brentford Redevelopment, November 2022

The south side of New Brentford is being redeveloped by Ballymore and Janet McNamara is keeping a photographic record; these photos were taken in November 2022 and feature the recently-opened Hollandbury House. Janets adds:

I understand the name is that of one of the Ronalds family’s apples.

The first photo is of the main entrance that overlooks the canal as it goes under Augustus Close, the road that runs to the Dock, and has road access to the Ham. The arches behind are in (new) Kingham Road/Ave? And I THINK will be the rear of the supermarket (when it’s finished).

The second view is from a path behind St Lawrence’s Church. Augustus Close is on the right.

The third shows how Hollandbury House overlooks Workhouse Dock, which looks as though it will still be a building storage area for a long time. I think that side will be very noisy as there are bars and restaurants planned for round the dock. The side with the main entrance will have views over Syon Park and across to Kew Gardens and it does get planes low on one of the flight paths.
