Brentford Families - James

Dave Padbury wrote in 2012 with details of the James family, he is a great great great grandson of Robert James and Elizabeth Cavey:

Robert James, listed in New Brentford census 1810/11 living at 10 Boars Head Yard. He was born in Hanwell 1769 and died Brentford 1837. He married Elizabeth Cavey (born 1771 Brentford died 1842 Brentford) at Hanwell 1796; children:

  • Sarah Ann James 1798
  • Mary Ann James 1802
  • Joseph James 1805
  • John James 1808 married Susan Turner
  • George James 1808-80 married Mary Martin
  • Henry James 1811
  • Eliza James 1813-16
  • William Henry James born 1815 Isleworth died 1877 violently (he fell in an ash hole at the Gas Works); he married Eliza Bissell 1816-96 in 1835 at St Marys;children:
    • Eliza James b 1837 married George Savil 1857 Brentford
    • Sarah Ann James 1840-83 married James William Gomm in 1862 St Marys they ran a Pub at 319 High Street in 1881
    • Elizabeth James 1842 married John Dear in 1860 St Marys
    • William Henry James1844 married Caroline Joyes 1864 St Marys; he is my g.g.grandfather on my mothers side
    • Marie James 1846 married Stephen Thomas 1870 Brentford
    • Richard James 1846-1905 married Miriam Ann Thomas 1867 Brentford
    • Emily James 1852 married Edwin Maslin 1874 Brentford
    • Louisa James 1858-1944 married John Frederick Padbury 1877 Ruislip they are my g.grandparents fathers side
  • Frances James 1816-28
  • Robert James 1820-37
  • Mary James 1821-29
